Great news for Richard and truly deserved on his performances in 2009. The success he has achieved this year has been rewarded with a full contract for the 2010 season with Worcestershire.

Congratulations to our 5 newly qualified ECB Level 1 Coaches : Joe Thorn, Mitchell Jeffrey, Charlotte Lloyd, Beth Ward and Lois Hopkins. We have also set up the Old Hill CC Coaches Group to support our new coaches and make recommendations and report back to the Youth Committee.

Youth Section Training Nights Starts
Friday 16th April 2010
Outdoor Training will be starting on Friday nights from 6.00pm for a 6.15pm start at and will charged at £3 per session.
All children will need to register and pay their Family Subscription of £25 please.
We will expect all children to be dressed appropriately, wearing training or cricket shoes, cricket kit or track pants, a t-shirt and sweatshirt/sweater.
Safety and Child Welfare are a priority and no one will be allowed to participate unless we have emergency contact details and notice of any medical conditions.
Please make a note of the new Weather Watch number : 07504 121050 - this will be updated at 4pm on match and training days if it's been raining.

New Covers and Sight Screens for Wassell Grove Ground
A BIG thank you has to be extended from the club to the volunteers who recently helped in fitting new sheeting to the covers and sight screens at our 3rd and 4th Team ground. Old Hill U17’s 123 – 6 beat Kidderminster U17’s 108 – 7 by 15 runs (10.30 a.m. start).
In the final of the Ryan Birt Memorial Trophy played at Worcester Nomads ground, Old Hill won against Kidderminster to complete an unbeaten season. Mike Hingley (45) and Dan Such (27 not out) were the leading batsmen in Old Hill’s total of 123. When Kidderminster batted, Mike Hingley after his exploits with the bat, took 3 wickets with Danny Clayes 1 – 13 also bowling very well. They were backed up by some outstanding catches from James Hunt (2) and Mitch Jeffery (1) as they restricted Kidderminster to 108 as Old Hill lifted the Trophy.
Congratulations to Old Hill Women's XI opening bat, Alison Hemming and her husband, Simeon, on the birth of their lovely baby son Jacob Geoffrey Hemming born in the early hours of
1st August weighing in at 8lbs.

We wish them every success.
Matt Sullivan has agreed to train as Assistant Steward and will be leading some changes as we hope to build up food sales and bar meals at the Club this winter.
A Suggestions Box will shortly be provided at the Club – where we will invite members for ideas.
