‘Chuckle Brothers’
At Old Hill
Saturday night saw an 80th birthday party at Old Hill club. But to everyone's surprise we had some famous guests arrive. The Chuckle Brothers, Barry and Paul Elliott have been family favourites on the telly for many years and they were great sports in having a photo taken with some of the Old Hill members. The Old Hill Chuckle brothers, Roy Keeling and Pete Bagley were asking for tips but I think the brothers saw them as real competition and declined, gracefully!!!
Jeff Thompson Night
On Monday 12th September the Aussi legend Jeff Thompson visited Old Hill CC for an evening of sporting nostalgia, reliving the stories of the Australian teams of the 1970’s and early 80’s. It was a great evening and our thanks go out to Richard Syndenham and Morris Whyte for organising the event which has raised funds for the club. We must also thank Jeff Thompson for some great stories providing us all with a fantastic nights entertainment. Even the ‘Chuckle Brothers’ Baggers and Kilo turned up, looking again for new material. Sadly no luck so your stuck with much of the same again from them this weekend same.
